RESTORE AND CREATE: EARTH DAY CELEBRATION AT STINSON BEACH (15TH ANNUAL)

Free, public, all-ages event
Saturday, April 20, 2019, 10am - 3pm
Stinson Beach Park, Stinson Beach, CA

The 15th Annual Earth Day Celebration at Stinson Beach combines care for the environment with arts activities for all ages. Participants can help with beach cleanup or creek restoration, and join with over a dozen collaborating artists engaging the public in sculpture-making with natural materials, making music, dancing, and more.

The event is produced in partnership by Zach Pine Nature Sculpture, One Tam, Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the National Park Service, and Samavesha. In collaboration with Marin County Parks, Friends of Mt Tam, Surfrider Foundation (Marin County Chapter), and Marin County Community Development Agency, Shrinking Shores Program.

AGAPANTHUS PROJECT
Thanks to all who have made the Agapanthus Project possible. Over fifteen free public Create-With-Agapanthus events were held in Berkeley parks during the summer of 2011. I'm currently accepting donations of gone-to-seed Agapanthus flowers for the project. See all the details, including a photo gallery link, here.

The Agapanthus project is part of the Samavesha Community Program.

REPORT FROM "ART TO ACTION ON CODORNICES CREEK WITH CHILDREN OF THE URSULA SHERMAN VILLAGE"

The Ursula Sherman Village, a project of Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency (BOSS)
in West Berkeley, California, provides housing and a comprehensive program for homeless families. With financial support from the Open Circle Foundation, I facilitated three art-with-nature outings along the creek in 2008, and six outings in 2009 and 2010. Photos and a full report are here.
